Description
The Story Line™ process mapping tool helps individuals and teams visually map processes and systems in a constructive and organized way while facilitating dialogue and shared understanding. For instance, this tool is excellent to use when many different perspectives or stakeholders are needed to ensure nothing is missed in a process.
The Story Line™ process mapping tool is made up of two different kinds of puzzle pieces. The large pieces, called Steps, are used to map the key process elements while the small pieces, called Tags, have symbols on them to represent details and stakeholders. Because of these different types of puzzle pieces it is easy to break down processes in multiple levels.
With its unique puzzle piece design, the Story Line™ tool allows users to easily connect steps in a process in a variety of ways and quickly move the pieces around to experiment with alternate process flows. For example, if you are mapping the steps in a new program, you could have several small groups each developing a model for the program and then share the models to see how they fit and flow together.
